Dreams I Dream

As I dive in the shadows of my sleep
I'm taken to a world without limits, where I can be ruler and king
Fulfill endless destinies, I can do anything
Only because I dream, and I feel my dreams'
Inhaling and exhaling entwined with my own
We become one in what I feel is part of my life
Of something I'm forced to experience alone

I dive deep, swim to it's deepest end
Yet I fail to execute my will
For try as I may, as hard as I can
My dreams will never obbey my command
